Elementary

Our Elementary Program at Montessori Schoolhouse begins with Kindergarten and supports students through a rich, hands-on Montessori learning experience designed to foster independence, confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Within our multi-age environment, students engage in individualized instruction across language, mathematics, cultural studies, science, geography, practical life, and the arts. Lessons are thoughtfully guided according to each child’s developmental readiness, allowing students to progress at their own pace while building strong academic foundations and critical thinking skills.

Learning extends beyond traditional academics through outdoor exploration, gardening, animal care, creative projects, enrichment experiences, and meaningful real-world application. Students are encouraged to collaborate, problem-solve, take initiative, and develop responsibility within a nurturing and respectful community.

Our Elementary Program blends authentic Montessori practices with experiential learning opportunities that support the development of the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, and personally.

Montessori Philosophy

Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this approach is centered around the belief that children learn best when they are actively engaged in their education. The school’s curriculum is designed to foster a child’s natural curiosity and love for learning, emphasizing self-directed activities within a carefully prepared environment.

Diverse Materials

At Montessori Schoolhouse, each classroom is equipped with a diverse range of materials and activities that encourage students to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace. The curriculum encompasses not only academic subjects like mathematics, language arts, and science but also incorporates practical life skills, cultural studies, and the arts. This holistic approach aims to develop well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also socially adept and emotionally intelligent.
